August 15, 2024 Why It's Called Enchanted Tiki Tales?

When I decided to create this site, and my social media name deciding on something was no easy task. I wanted something that resonated deeply with me, reflecting both my passions and nostalgia. That’s how I ended up with Enchanted Tiki Tales.

The name takes me back to my childhood in the 1970s. I was the kid who spent countless hours listening to The Walt Disney's Enchanted Tiki Room and Jungle Cruise album over and over again. It wasn’t just background music; it was an escape into a world of adventure, wonder, and a little bit of magic. The upbeat rhythms, tropical sounds, and quirky characters captured my imagination in a way that nothing else could.

Through that album, I felt like I was there, surrounded by the singing birds and talking tikis. The exotic melodies felt like a doorway to a faraway place, filled with palm trees, colorful parrots, and a sense of whimsy that only Disney could create. The Jungle Cruise, with its corny jokes and thrilling sounds of adventure, was the perfect complement, sparking my fascination with far-off lands, travel and storytelling.

The albums held a certain magic for me—a magic that stayed with me long after the vinyl stopped spinning. That nostalgia is at the heart of Enchanted Tiki Tales. It’s a place where stories and history of the Disney parks are brought to life, where the spirit of adventure lives on, and where the sounds of my childhood find a new audience.
